Marwadzo (pain in English) zvinoreva izvo zvinonzwikwa panyama yemunhu kana chimwe chipenyu, zvinova zvinoenderana nokukuvadzwa kwemuviri kungadaro kwatoitika kana kuti kwaigona kuzoitika. Marwadzo anonzwikwa apo munhu anenge arohwa, abayiwa netsono, achitemwa nemusoro kana kurwra nezvimwewo zvirwere.
Marwadzo anotaurwawo zvakare pazvinhu zvinonzwikwa pamoyo kana pfungwa dzomunhu, sokuti munhu afirwa neumwe wake anoti ndarwadziwa.

- VaKabwa vanoti obhusungu (n. pain, anguish) kureva marwadzo. VaChewa vanoti utete (to shrink from pain, flinching).
