Ndiro (Dishes in English) inoreva midziyo inoshandiswa muKicheni inosanganisira mbiya, ndiro, poto, komichi, mugoti, mugwaku, sipunu zvichingodaro.

Ndipo paye panonzi "Wasuka ndiro here kuchirehwa midziyo yose yabikiswa neyadyirwa".

  • Rukombesa ropa runorasa neriri mumbiya. If a person is overexcited to collect the blood he may even spill that (already) in the porringer.

  • Chewa vanoti mbiya (a pot; a jar; general name for all pots).
  • Chewa neTumbuka vanoti mbale (dish, basin).
  • Kimbundu vanoti imbia (n. a pot). Mamwe mazwi: tumbia (n. small pots).
  • Nyaneka vanoti imbia (n. pan; pot) kureva pani kana poto.
